Once you've got your tickets booked for an exciting new show in Bath, the last thing you want to do is spend a fortune on dinner. But you want to make a night of it, so we've found some amazing pre-theatre deals so you can really make the most of a special evening.

 

Loch Fyne

You can get 2 courses and a side for £11.95, or 3 courses and a side for £13.95. The restaurant is based at the top of Milsom Street, a fabulous area close to many of the theatres. From the set menu you can choose from meals like king prawn spaghetti and confit duck leg, plus if you opt for dessert they have the classic crème brûlée with shortbread, treacle tart and ice creams.

From Monday to Saturday, until 6.30pm, you can order 2 courses for £11.95 or 3 courses for £15.45 from the set menu. Such a bargain for an upmarket restaurant, owned by chef Raymond Blanc himself. Meals to choose from include pan-fried pork sirloin, spanish omelette and potted smoked mackerel. If you opt for a mouth-watering dessert you can choose from chocolate & almond torte, creme caramel or steamed lemon sponge pudding.

Located next door to Theatre Royal this is the best location for theatre-goers. They have a fab set menu until 6.45pm with 2 courses for £15.95 or 3 courses for £19.50. Amarone is one of the most popular Italian restaurants in Bath! Food on the set menu includes baked gnocchi in a rich tomato sauce, slow roasted pork belly or ham hock terrine. Desserts include the delicious tiramisu, cannoli filled with chocolate mousse and banana crepes.

This is another restaurant located very close to Theatre Royal and Komedia. The food here is European inspired and has been ranked in the top 15 best restaurants in Bath on TripAdvisor. Their pre-theatre menu offers 2 courses for £17.50. Food on the menu is a little bit different than the usual, with dishes like pumpkin, leek & parmesan risotto, confit of rabbit and game terrine.

Green Park Brasserie offer an early diner set menu, with 2 courses for £13 or 3 for £16. Based in the buzzing Green Park Station, this restaurant offers a variety of dishes with classic elements. An example of what you can order includes garlic mushrooms with ciabatta for starters, grilled sweet chilli chicken & fries or salad for a main course, or the wonderful baked rhubarb & frangipane tart for dessert.

This friendly pub restaurant is in the city centre and offers 2 courses for £14.50 or 3 for £19 on their pre-theatre menu. Some fabulous meals are included as part of the set menu, such as Moroccan-style winter root vegetable tagine, pan-fried chicken breast with carrot purée creamy mashed potato, and curried lentil, parsnip & apple soup. Maybe rice pudding with coconut crumb & raspberry sorbet will tickle your fancy?
