Elvis Costello and The Imposters are coming to Bath Forum in June 2022

The legendary artist is bringing his band to Bath touring their new album set for release in January 2022.

Elvis Costello and The Imposters will play at Bath Forum on Friday 17 June 2022 during a 13 venue tour of the band's fourth album out on EMI - Costello's 32nd overall. Ian Prowse will open as support on all dates.

'The Boy Named If' tour, which shares its name with the new album, stops in Bath on its ninth leg, beginning in Brighton and culminating at London's Hammersmith Eventim Apollo.

A maximum of six tickets can be purchased by one person. Under 16s must be accompanied by someone over the age of 21. Find tickets here.

The Imposters, comprised of members Steve Nieve (keys), Pete Thomas (drums), and Davey Faragher (bass/backing vocals), first joined forces with Costello on The Delivery Man, a concept rock 'n' roll record released in 2004.

The band and Costello reunited on two subsequent occasions, releasing 'Momofuku' in 2008 and 'Look Now' a decade later in 2018, the latter of which won a Grammy Award for best traditional pop vocal album.

'The Boy Named If' is the fourth full-length album released by Costello and the Imposters, and sonically moves towards brighter melodies dancing over rhythms.

In a statement Costello said: “‘IF’ is a nickname for your imaginary friend; your secret self, the one who knows everything you deny, the one you blame for the shattered crockery and the hearts you break, even your own.”

Don't miss your opportunity to catch Costello in the flesh. Get tickets here.
